Probe explores cooperation with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC)
On May 5, 2021, Probe Group and Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) held a virtual meeting to explore Probe’s into Dubai and jointly promote the borderless development of digital securities. DIFC was represented by Chief Business Development Officer Salmaan Jaffery, Head of Group Strategy and Innovation Christian Kunz, and Senior Representative for Europe and North America Ali Hassan while Probe Group was represented by co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Walter Leung.
Probe Group noted that since its establishment in 2016, the company has deployed six digital technology subsidiaries across the globe while holding relevant fintech and blockchain licenses to deliver cross-border digital financial services based on blockchain technology.
Salmaan welcomed Probe’s plans to enter Dubai, and noted that the current timing is good for a Dubai-based Probe project.
“DIFC and Probe Group are both committed to supporting innovation, and thus we regard Probe Group as an excellent partner,” he said.
Backed by the business-friendly laws and regulations of Dubai, Probe Group plans to launch in the Emirati city quickly and efficiently. DIFC will actively assist Probe Group in compliance matters, including regulatory permits for market access as well as connecting the blockchain fintech with Dubai banks, financial institutions, and commodities traders such as the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) and the NASDAQ Dubai Exchange.
